leaving home
-
I spent my entire childhood in the same home in Southern Kentucky, and when I finally moved away to college in Nashville, I was too excited and eager for something new to properly say goodbye to where I came from.
Thirteen years later, I found myself ready to leave Nashville for βthe next thing,β and through this series, I took the time and space to appreciate and thank the places that helped shape me.
Using imaginative and overly saturated colors, I subverted the interior portrait, which traditionally places emphasis on the decorative transformation of a space, choosing instead to explore the internal, emotional, and spiritual transformations within the spaces I called home.
